Cities of South Africa

When visiting South Africa, get ready for some real excitement and adventure. Country is full of wonderful cities to visit. From the commonly known cities such as Cape Town and Johannesburg, to Durban and Port St. Johns, a traveller can experiece South African city life at its fullest.

First, we will talk about some of the cities more commonly known such as Cap Town, which is a unique blend of first and third worlds. With the gorgeous mountains and sparkling sea, Cape Town is without doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world. There you will discover the country’s oldest settlement, which is overcome by Table Mountain, excellent hiking trails, wonderful vineyards, and pristine beaches. While Cape Town has occasional street crime, for the most part, this city is one where you can go to relax and enjoy the magnificent views all around.

Next is the city of Durban, a large subtropical city that is the home to the greatest concentration of Indian descended people in all of Africa. Known primarily for its electrifying nightlife, fun parlor, and beautiful year-round temperatures, you cannot help but be impressed. In addition, Durban offers many fine things to do from visiting the Natural Science Museum, to spending time at Victoria St. Market, or taking time to walk through Alayam Hindu Temple, the oldest and largest in South Africa.

The largest city in South Africa is Johannesburg, busy, wealthy, energetic, and with a wonderful climate. Some people do not like the hustle and bustle of this massive city while others find it quite intriguing so you will need to decide for yourself if this is the type of atmosphere you want to experience or not.
